Cowles-Henke-Kemmel Insurance Agency LLP, was started back in 1930 by L.H. Cowles becoming the L.H. Cowles Insurance Agency. In 1964 son-in-law Tom Henke joined the agency as an owner/partner changing the name of the agency to Cowles-Henke Insurance.
Tom was very happy to move the agency into the third generation by bringing in his two daughters, Wendy Hounsell and Julie Franke. In January 2006, Dennis Kemmel joined the agency then becoming the Cowles-Henke-Kemmel Insurance Agency LLP. Kemmel Insurance, founded by Dennis' father, the late Millard Kemmel, had been operating in Brownsville since 1959.
Today, Cowles-Henke-Kemmel Insurance, operates two offices; our main office is located in Oakfield, Wisconsin and our satellite office in Brownsville, Wisconsin.
